CAM3Lacto – Inoculant for silage MakingA combination of three lactic acid producing bacteria
The product in dry form contains the combination of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus bulgaricus not less than 136 billion cfu/gm.
As per test Corn Silage treated with CAM3Lacto shown significantly better stability than untreated silage. Silage treated with CAM3Lacto took a few hours longer to begin heating when compared with untreated silage.
Dry matter loss was reduced and silage digestibility improved in silage made using CAM3Lacto after 120 days of fermentation.
a fast starter, begins producing lactic acid very quickly to help drop silage pH
produces a large volume of lactic acid per gram bacteria of resulting in most of the pH drop.
starts to work when the silage pH reaches 5.0 and keeps producing well past terminal pH of 4.0
solution
- Corn Silage treated with Kem LAC showed significantly better stability than untreated silage. Silage treated with Kem LAC took 56 hours longer to begin heating when compared with untreated silage.
- Dry matter loss was reduced and silage digestibility improved in silage made from Kem LAC after 120 days of fermentation.
- Silage treated with Kem LAC had statistically better fermentation characteristics than control silage.
- Kem LAC produced less ammonia (a good thing). Overall, the bacteria in Kem LAC performed better than control.
application
500gm of Kem LAC® HD for making 500MT of silage, i.e 1gm per IMT of silage.
